The Republic may, where an accumulation of petroleum extends onto the land or the continental shelf of another country, seek to reach agreement with that other country on the most efficient co—ordir1ation of petroleum activities in connection with accumulation of petroleum as well as the apportionment of the accumulation of petroleum.
