(1) Petroleum activities shall be conducted in a manner that ensures that a high level of safety is achieved, maintained and further developed in accordance with technological development, best international practice and applicable enactments relating to health safety and laour.

(2) A plan and related documents for implementation of safety measures of petroleum activities shall be submitted to the Commission before the commencement of the relevant petroleum activities.

(3) The plans and documents shall be updated as and when required.
