The Refugee Board established under the Refugee Act, 1992 (PN.D.CL. 30SD) shall take into consideration national security and public safety and may refuse the application of a person applying for status as a refugee if the Board has reasonable grounds to believe that the applicant has committed a terrorist act or is or is likely to be involved in the commission of a terrorist act.
