(1) The Minister may, in writing, appoint a public officer as an authorised officer for the purposes of this Act who shall perform functions provided by or under this Act.

(2) Without limiting the scope of subsection (1), the following are authorised officers for the purposes of this Act, the Regulations and any other enactment relating to the regulation of fisheries:

(a) personnel of the enforcement unit,

(b) personnel of the Ghana Navy,

(c) the air crew and personnel of the Ghana Air Force deployed for fishery duties,

(d) officers of the Water Research Institute, and

(e) fishery officers of the secretariat of the Commission.
