A seafarer is not entitled to wages at any time during which the seafarer unlawfully refuses or neglects to work when required, whether before or after the time fixed by the agreement for the seafarer to begin work, or for any period during which the seafarer is lawfully imprisoned for any offence committed by the seafarer, unless the court hearing the case otherwise directs.
