(1) The Commission shall consist of-

(a) a Chairman who shall not be a Minister or a Deputy Minister;

(b) one person representing each of the following-

(i) the Ghana Water and Sewerage Corporation;

(ii) Organisations producing potable water;

(iii) the Hydrology Department of the Ministry of Works and Housing;

(iv) the Volta River Authority;

(v) the Irrigation Development Authority

(vi) the Water Resources Research Institute;

(vii) the Meteorological Service;

(viii) the Environmental Protection Agency;

(ix) the Forestry Commission; and

(x) the Minerals Commission;

(c) the Executive Secretary appointed under section 9 of this Act;

(d) a chief; and

(e) two other persons at least one of whom shall be a woman

(2) The members of the Commission shall be appointed by the President acting in consultation with the Council of State.
