(1) Where a member is unable to specify the members date of birth the employer and the Director-General shall assess the age of the member from the appearance or any other known facts and shall record a date of birth on the appropriate form.

(2) A date of birth determined under sub-regulation (1) shall, for purposes of these Regulations, be treated as the actual date of birth of the member unless the Director-General, amends the records where the need arises.
