A person who

(a) imports an appliance that does not meet a requirement in respect of the minimum energy efficiency standard;

(b) fails to comply with a labelling or re-labelling requirement; 

(c) removes the label on an appliance contrary to regulation 4 (7);  

(d) fails to provide technical documentation contrary to regulation 5;

(e) fails to provide an information sheet contrary to regulation 6;

(f) provides inaccurate information contrary to regulation 8;

(g) fails to comply with the communication requirements contrary to regulation 10;

(h) provides misleading information contrary to regulation 11;

(i) obstructs or interferes with an enforcement authority in the exercise of  that authority’s powers commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding twelve months or to both.
