(1) Natural gassupplytoanypremisesmadecontrarytorule2isillegal.

(2) An illegal connection under sub-rule (1) shall be disconnected in accordance with the Public Utilities (Termination of Service) Regulations 1999 (L.11651).

(3) Where it is established that an illegal connection has resulted in

(a) damage to

(i) the distribution company’s property, or

(ii) a third party’s property, or

(b) loss of

(i) revenue to the distribution company, or

(ii) life, or

(c) injury to life

The person who made the illegal connection, the person who authorised the connection and the beneficiary of the illegal connection are liable to pay damages to the affected person.
