(1) A contractor, subcontractor, licensee or other allied entity engaged in a petroleum activity in the country shall comply with the provisions of the Insurance Act, 2006 (Act 724).

(2) The insurable risks relating to petroleum activity in the country shall be insured through an indigenous brokerage firm or where applicable, a reinsurance broker.
