A person who knowingly-

(a) votes at an election at which he is not entitled to vote; or

(b) votes more than once at an election, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding ₵1 million or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or both; and shall, for a period of five years from the date of the expiration of his term of imprisonment be disqualified from being registered as a voter or voting at an election.
