Any rule or other requirement of customary law relating to the tenancy of land which was revoked, amended or in any way affected by or under the Acts repealed by paragraph 1 of this Decree, shall, on and after the coming into force of this Decree, have and be given the same effect as it had and was given under customary law immediately before the coming into force of the said repealed Acts:

Provided that nothing in this Decree shall affect or be deemed to affect the previous operation of the said repealed acts or any rights accruing to, or liabilities (including obligations) incurred by any person by or under the said repealed Acts before the coming into force of this Decree.
