(1) There shall be a Registrar of the University appointed by Council who shall be Secretary to the Council, the Academic Board as well as the Interim Advisory Committee.

(2) The Registrar shall generally be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the general administrative functions of the University and for providing secretarial services for such bodies and committees as may be set up under the statutes, and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in the statutes.
